Chelsea consider two-year contract extension for Nicolas Jackson after impressive debut Season

Chelsea are considering offering Nicolas Jackson a two-year contract extension after his impressive debut season at the club. Jackson, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal last summer for £32 million, scored 14 goals in the Premier League and played a crucial role in the team’s success, contributing to their top-six finish and return to European competition.

His increased playing time was partly due to Christopher Nkunku’s injury struggles, but Jackson demonstrated his potential to become a 20-goal-a-season striker if he improves his finishing.

Chelsea, following the example set with Cole Palmer’s contract extension, are keen to reward Jackson similarly for his strong performance.

Journalist Matt Law reported on X.com that Chelsea plans to enter negotiations with Jackson soon. Despite missing most of the pre-season due to an ankle injury, Jackson returned to action as a substitute against Inter Milan.

With Chelsea looking to add more firepower to their squad, including a potential move for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Jackson’s role in the upcoming season remains a point of interest for fans, especially in the upcoming match against Manchester City.
