Burkina-Faso: The President emphasizes the quality of communication in the country

Given the current situation in the country governed by  Captain Ibrahim Traoré the President of  Burkina Faso, he explains that it would be wise to convey messages of encouragement to the people.

In an interview held on Wednesday 31 August 2023, Captain Ibrahim Traoré expressed his dissatisfaction with certain local radio stations in the country that were spreading bad news.

He made it very clear that the country is at war, so there is no point in opting for communication that aims to amplify the conflict.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the President of Burkina Faso, has embarked on a relentless campaign to root out terrorism and corruption in West Africa.

In this statement, President Traoré announces the closure of radio stations, both Western and local, that aim to incite the enemy and amplify conflicts, particularly those aligned with imperialism.

He insists that there will be no leniency towards these media, as they seek to alter the perception of the conflict and influence people’s mentality.

In other words, the President of the transition is urging the radio stations to encourage the population in the face of this crisis, and he warns: «We are at war, and in a war there is a need to communicate… We want people who will communicate, who will encourage the people to hold firm so that we can succeed. We’re not going to accept anyone who goes against us».
