Burkina Faso / The birth of the National Coalition for Faso (C.N.P.F): A citizens’ initiative to support the efforts of President Ibrahim Traoré

In a symbolic act of solidarity with President Ibrahim Traoré, the C.N.P.F (National Coalition for Faso) was officially launched in Ouagadougou on Thursday. The aim of this coalition, made up of committed citizens, is to bring together the country’s driving forces to support the current transition and the «efforts and sacrifices» of President Ibrahim Traoré.

CNPF spokesman Assane Bationo told a press conference that the creation of this forward-looking citizens’ watch coalition was motivated by a sincere desire to contribute proactively to the country’s development and stability.

The CNPF’s objectives are ambitious and geared towards finding constructive solutions.

Assane Bationo explained: «The objectives of the CNPF include making a participatory and inclusive diagnosis of the management of year one of the political transition under the presidency of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, proposing a memorandum of action to the transition authorities, and lobbying internationally for the benefit of the current political transition».

The coalition aims to play an active role in the country’s political governance by facilitating open and inclusive dialogue.

It also plans to work towards a better understanding of the challenges facing the country and to formulate pragmatic recommendations to overcome these challenges.

The birth of the CNPF is testimony to the strong and growing support President Ibrahim Traoré enjoys among the population.

The members of the coalition are determined to work hand in hand with the transitional authorities to ensure political stability and the continued progress of Faso.

This citizens’ initiative demonstrates the vitality of political commitment in Burkina Faso and the will of the people to contribute actively to building a better future under the presidency of Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
