Burkina-Faso: The army neutralize several terrorists on several fronts in the centre-east

Burkina Faso’s army continue to fight relentlessly to liberate the country from the yoke of terrorism. In the last few hours, they have inflicted further heavy losses on the assailants in Sablogo in the Centre-East following successful air and ground operations.

According to the AIB, Burkina Faso’s army have been conducting operations as part of their efforts to recapture the country, which have enabled them to reach the enemy’s entrenched bases in the Sablogo forest.

On Tuesday, a terrorist base was wiped out in the same locality, several terrorists killed, their war materiel pulverised and fuel reserves destroyed, including a tank previously stolen and hidden, according to an army source relayed by AIB.

Some of the assailants fled in the face of the merciless battle waged by the fighting forces, seeking shelter under trees.

But they were caught even in their hiding places and eliminated thanks to aerial vectors.

At the same time, another group of terrorists estimated at 300 individuals were in procession against a position at Nongfaire in the North.

But they were routed by the FDS and VDP, who had been informed of their movements earlier thanks to precise intelligence provided by the relevant services, with whom we have been working more closely for several months.

Helicopters were launched in pursuit. Many of them were fatally wounded before bursting into flames.

Ground units backed up the air force units with sweeps. As a result of these operations, several vehicles, weapons and transmission equipment were seized.

The few survivors who managed to escape are holed up in Petegoli with their belongings, under a large shed in an abandoned courtyard.

Further precise strikes consumed them and their equipment. According to AIB sources, operations are continuing on all fronts.
