Burkina-Faso: Several diplomats accredited to Ouagadougou, a safe destination thanks to the leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré

In line with its strategy to diversify and revitalize international cooperation, the transitional government of Burkina Faso recently accredited 13 ambassadors. The Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, received their credentials on Thursday, December 14.

Representing 12 countries and one organization, these ambassadors from Italy, Egypt, Korea, Japan, Nicaragua, Tunisia, Chad, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Israel, India, and the European Union (EU) reflect Burkina Faso’s commitment to restoring its standing on the global stage.

These accreditations underscore the sacrifices made during the transitional period to reintegrate Burkina Faso into the community of nations.

They mark the culmination of a year marked by a steadfast fight against terrorism, comprehensive reforms, and development initiatives designed to attract meaningful partnerships.

The concerted efforts of the transitional government, coupled with the resilience and determination of the defense and security forces, the Volunteers for the Defence of the Homeland (VDP), and the patriotism of the Burkinabe people, have successfully restored security and peace in the nation. Burkina Faso is now a secure destination across all sectors, boasting substantial investment potential.
