Burkina Faso / Revelation of a destabilisation plot: The involvement of Damiba and a vast network supported by Western powers

On September 23, 2024, Burkina Faso’s Minister of Security, Mahamadou Sana, disclosed the existence of a significant destabilization network threatening the country’s transitional government.

This alleged conspiracy reportedly involves former president Paul Henri Sandaogo Damiba, who has been dubbed “the patriarch” and is accused of being a key supporter of the destabilizing efforts.

According to Sana, the network aims to eliminate opposition to its agenda, with the involvement of several influential figures, including Abdoulaye Barry, Aziz Diallo, Newton Amed Barry, and Commander François Zoungrana.

Further investigations suggest that this group has forged connections with certain Western powers and recruited terrorists from the Centre-East region, referred to as “les Centraux.”

This network is also believed to be linked to the deadly attack in Barsalogho and harbors ambitions to seize control of the capital, Ouagadougou.

The alleged collaboration with foreign entities highlights a significant threat to the nation’s stability.

This unfolding situation underscores the critical need for vigilance against both internal and external attempts to undermine the sovereignty of Burkina Faso and disrupt the ongoing transitional processes.

The government’s response to these revelations will be pivotal in safeguarding the country’s future.
