Burkina Faso: Peace Efforts/Blood Donation by ISTIC Trainees

The people of Burkina Faso remain a significant support for the transitional government through their resilience, mobilization, and peace efforts. In a gesture of peace, trainees from the Institute of Science, Technical Information, and Communication (ISTIC) conducted a blood donation drive to bolster the stocks of the National Blood Transfusion Center.

This noble and solidarity-driven act comes at a time of heightened security crisis in the country.

The action by ISTIC trainees aims to save lives and support the injured members of the defense and security forces on the battlefield.

«We organized this activity to demonstrate our solidarity with our people. As you know, our country is going through a challenging security situation, and every day we hear about soldiers at the front who are wounded and, at times, in need of blood», stated the ISTIC trainees’ delegate.

It is also a response to the call for peace efforts made by the Head of State of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

«This is to say that the call for solidarity from the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, has been heard. I believe this is a significant contribution to help enhance the financial support for the patriotic support fund», declared one ISTIC trainee.
