Burkina Faso: It’s now time for the terrorists to lay down their arms or die!
As they were preparing to attack the cities of Boulsa and Djibo on Friday, April 7, 2023 in Burkina Faso, several terrorists, along with their accomplices, suffered losses in the localities of Seytenga and Djibo. The Burkinabe army’s aerial units neutralized them as part of their ongoing efforts to combat terrorism.
According to a security source close to the Burkinabe army, these terrorists were on about thirty motorcycles. They intended «to spread terror and devastation» in the city of Boulsa in the central-north region.
The Burkinabe army combat’s helicopters stopped them about 8 kilometers from the city, near Zambanga. According to this source, the column was almost completely decimated, except for two motorcyclists who managed to escape.
Furthermore, as revenge to the heavy losses suffered in their base in Nassoumbou in recent days, another group of terrorists planned to attack the city of Djibo in northern Burkina Faso. This occured on the night of Thursday to Friday.
As they attempted to abandon their sinister plan about five kilometers from the locality « Aerial units went into action, striking the fleeing columns towards Baraboulé, Bouro, and Diguel», the source described, nothing that immensity of the losses within the enemy ranks.
As a reminder, on the evening of Thursday, April 6t, terrorists carried out an incursion in the Seytenga area in the north of the country. Immediately, the military detachment engaged in combat against these criminals.
Defeated, these marauders tried to corral the livestock in an area and take refuge in abandoned cottages. From there, the aerial units were called in for assistance and neutralized several of them, and the pursuit continues.
The pursuit against armed terrorist groups continues in several localities throughout Burkina Faso. Logically, the terrorists have no choice but to lay down their arms or die.
