Burkina Faso: Head of State Ibrahim Traoré wishes the Christian community a Merry Christmas

In a message marking the Nativity Day, the President of the transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré wished “…a merry Christmas to the Christian community which celebrates, on 25 December 2022, the Nativity Day.

“I hope that the birth of Christ strengthens our living together and our common momentum for the reconquest, the rebuilding of our nation and peace… he stressed.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Head of State, in a spirit of unity, intends to make this Christian celebration an opportunity to commune together in the perspective of unity against external aggressions.

In evoking this celebration, the President of the transition also called on the Christian community to pray for the “common momentum for the re-conquest” of the territory, which remains the major concern beyond any celebration.

This unity desired by the transitional authorities also involves going beyond religion, which must form the basis of our aspiration to wage a collective and singular battle against the aggressor.

The message of hope from the President of the transition to the Christian community in a country with a high proportion of Muslims is also one of the parameters of his good social policy on the way to “total independence”.

The transition process underway in Burkina with the arrival of Captain Ibrahim Traoré at the head of the country on 30 September is on the road to success despite the threat thanks to the vigilance of all compatriots.
