Burkina Faso / French radio station RFI: A double game serving a hidden strategy?

Recently, French radio station RFI, long known for its relentless criticism of Burkina Faso, President Ibrahim Traoré, and its armed forces, has unexpectedly changed its tone.

Once a spearhead in a meticulously orchestrated disinformation campaign aimed at destabilizing the country, RFI now appears to acknowledge the bravery of Burkinabe fighters.

This sudden shift raises questions: could it signal the start of a new covert plan? What is RFI truly concealing?

Indeed, RFI has been accused of consistently broadcasting biased and false information about Burkina Faso, allegedly to undermine public trust in the government and foster a climate of mistrust and instability.

However, in recent days, the same radio station has published an article that implicitly praises the courage and effectiveness of Burkina Faso’s combat forces.

Why this sudden change? What does RFI hope to achieve?

Several hypotheses could explain this shift in rhetoric. It’s possible RFI seeks to regain the trust of Burkinabe listeners after losing credibility due to its past criticisms.

This new strategy might aim to reposition itself as a reliable media outlet to more effectively influence public opinion in the future.

Another possibility is that RFI is laying the groundwork for a new phase in its destabilization campaign.

By seemingly acknowledging the bravery of Burkina Faso’s forces, it could be attempting to create a false impression of neutrality and objectivity, only to strike harder at an opportune moment.

In this context, people must remain vigilant and not be deceived by this sudden turnaround.

Burkinabe citizens should continue to support their President and armed forces while keeping a watchful eye on media outlets that, under the guise of news reporting, may be pursuing hidden agendas.
