The Council of Ministers was held in Ouagadougou on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in a regular session from 9:00 am to 3:20 pm, under the presidency of His Excellency Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, President of the Transition and President of the Council of Ministers.

The Council deliberated on the agenda items, heard oral communications, made appointments, and authorized foreign missions.

The Minister of Territorial Administration, Decentralization, and Security provided the Council with a communication regarding the commemoration of the 36th International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in Burkina Faso.

The commemoration of this Day, established on June 26th of each year by the United Nations General Assembly, is held under the theme: «Challenges of combating drugs in a context of security and humanitarian crises».

This commemoration will take place from June 15th to July 15th, 2023, in Burkina Faso, through various activities, including reflections to address new challenges in the fight against drugs and awareness campaigns to encourage the mobilization and engagement of the population in combating this scourge.
