Burkina Faso: A meeting between Madame Larisa ZELENTSOVA from BRICS and H.E. Olivia ROUAMBA.
The President of the International BRICS Alliance, Madame Larisa ZELENTSOVA, arrived in Ouagadougou in the afternoon of Sunday, June 11, 2023.
A large Burkinabe delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation, and Burkinabe Abroad, H.E. Madame Olivia ROUAMBA welcomed Madam Zelentsova upon her arrival.
Minister ROUAMBA expressed «her great honor for this visit, which outlines the new Burkina Faso» under the leadership of the President of Faso, Head of State, H.E. Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ.
«Our visit to this beautiful country falls within the long-standing tradition of friendship and cooperation between the countries of the International BRICS Alliance and Burkina Faso. It is a revolutionary people, reflecting their current leaders, who advocate for the complete sovereignty of their country», said Larisa ZELENTSOVA.
The Representative of the International BRICS Alliance for West and Central Africa, Mr. Ahoua Don MELLO, announced that « This visit will lead to the signing of an agreement for the official establishment of a representation of the International BRICS Alliance in Burkina Faso, with the aim of facilitating the arrival of investors in various sectors of activity in Burkina Faso».
It should be noted that on May 12th, H.E. Madame Olivia ROUAMBA received the President of the West and Central Africa Business Council.
Also, on May 30th, a delegation from the BRICS Alliance, along with ministerial department technicians, held working sessions to examine the areas of future cooperation.
