Barcelona secures supercup Final Berth with convincing 2-0 Victory over Osasuna

In the context of the second semi-final of the Spanish Supercup, Barcelona faced Osasuna on Thursday night.

Despite being considered favorites, Barcelona lived up to expectations. Eager to join Real Madrid in the final, Barcelona started the match strongly.

Xavi Hernandez’s team quickly created significant goal-scoring opportunities, including a header from Andreas Christensen (3′), a slightly wide shot from Ferran Torres, and a missed one-on-one by Robert Lewandowski (15′).

On the other side, Osasuna, playing without fear, also posed a threat to Barcelona’s defense in the first half.

Led by the dynamic Budimir, the Pamplona-based team came close to opening the scoring several times.

Despite their overall dominance in the first half, Barcelona couldn’t break the deadlock, and the score was 0-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Barcelona maintained their assertive approach. Their efforts paid off around the 60th minute when, following a high ball recovery by Christensen, Gundogan passed the ball to Robert Lewandowski, who infiltrated the opposing defense and accurately placed his right-footed shot to open the scoring (1-0, 60′).

In the final half-hour of the game, Barcelona remained active in both penalty areas.

In the dying moments of the match, Barcelona secured a 2-0 victory with a superb move orchestrated by João Félix and elegantly finished by Lamine Yamal (90+3′).

With a two-goal advantage, Barcelona booked their spot in the  Spanish Supercup final and will defend their title against their eternal rival, Real Madrid, next Sunday.
