Ballon d’Or 2024 rankings updated ahead of Euro and Copa America finals

The latest rankings for the 2024 Ballon d’Or have been released, just in time for the Euro 2024 final between Spain and England and the Copa America final featuring Argentina and Colombia.

The most notable change is the fall of Vinicius Jr. from the top spot.

Once the leading favorite due to his stellar season in La Liga and the Champions League, where he scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists in 39 matches, Vinicius Jr. has seen his position slip following Brazil’s early exit in the Copa America quarter-finals and his own suspension from the tournament.

Rising to the forefront is England’s Jude Bellingham. Although not the standout player in the European Championship, Bellingham has increasingly become a favorite among bookmakers, moving to the top of the rankings.

Meanwhile, Spain’s Lamine Yamal and Manchester City’s Rodri are also climbing the charts, with Rodri being viewed as a serious contender by many analysts.

The updated list from a respected British media outlet, known for its reliable predictions, now features Bellingham as the new leader.

Additionally, Lionel Messi remains a significant presence in the rankings. The Argentine captain’s impressive start with Inter Miami and his participation in the Copa America final keep him in the race.
