Antonio Rüdiger urges Toni Kroos’ return to boost Germany’s Euro 2024 Campaign

Back at Real Madrid for the Champions League Round of 16, Antonio Rüdiger spoke to Kicker, two months after the group stage match against Union Berlin in Germany.

Although absent for the game, the defender discussed several topics, including the potential return of Toni Kroos to the German national team.

Rüdiger strongly encourages his Real Madrid teammate to reconsider his decision to retire from international football and participate in Euro 2024.

At 34, Kroos had announced his retirement after Euro 2020, but Rüdiger is convinced that his presence would be crucial for the German team this summer.

«With the tournament being held at home, we aim to have the best players out there. Currently, I see Toni as one of the best German players, also being one of the key figures at Real Madrid. He’s been at Real Madrid for 10 years, continually earning immense respect. For me, it’s an incredible achievement », explained Rüdiger.
