Algeria: Abdemadjid Tebboune reminds African governments of the need to attach importance to start-ups to boost national economies

At the African start-up conference, President  Tebboune called for innovation and growth in the start-up sector. In his view, the stakes are high if national economies are to grow on the African continent.

For President Tebboune, the promotion of entrepreneurial projects is a national priority, involving the support and incubation of innovative projects, the creation of technology hubs, the development of training in many specialities linked to start-up activities, and the creation of specialised schools, among other things.

In addition, the various mechanisms put in place by the Algerian government to promote entrepreneurial initiatives have been beneficial, placing Algeria in pole position in terms of start-up creation.

Through its appeal to African countries, Algeria is reaffirming its commitment to Africa as a balanced economic partner and as a leader on the continent.

Algeria intends to put its experience at the service of the whole of Africa.

President Tebboune also emphasised the importance of continental cooperation in order to make the most of the potential of Africa’s young people in this field.

By promoting start-ups, Africa can boost its economic growth, create sustainable jobs and transform the continent into a hub of the global economy.

The balanced international cooperation offered by Algeria to the rest of the African countries has also been welcomed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
