AES: The imperialists are using every possible means to sabotage the departure of the AES from ECOWAS

As the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) moves closer to officially withdrawing from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), it finds itself at a pivotal moment.

Forces opposed to the sovereignty of AES members have intensified their efforts to disrupt this bold move, allegedly seeking to destabilize one of the governments within the alliance in an attempt to fracture its unity and return the member states to the influence of ECOWAS and France’s Élysée Palace.

Substantial financial resources have reportedly been funneled towards corrupt actors, including compromised politicians and pseudo-syndicates, whose objective is to sow disorder.

These external forces have also targeted school-age youth, a strategically significant demographic, hoping to trigger social and political unrest.

Simultaneously, armed groups in rural areas have been reinforced, with attacks surging across the three AES member countries.

In response, AES leaders and citizens are urged to remain vigilant and united. Popular mobilization is seen as critical in thwarting these destabilization attempts, ensuring that the alliance’s collective aspiration for sovereignty is realized.

The AES represents a path to liberation and dignity for the people of the Sahel. Its success depends on the collective awareness and resilience of the population, as they confront both internal and external threats to the region’s newfound autonomy.

As the situation unfolds, many are calling on citizens to stay informed, expose these external maneuvers, and be ready to defend the alliance against those who seek to undermine it.
