Burkina Faso: Captain Ibrahim Traoré encourages civic values during a visit to Péni elementary school

In a demonstration of proximity and commitment to education and youth, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of the Transition, recently made an inspiring visit to « B » Primary School in Péni, Burkina Faso. Welcomed with warm greetings by the students and teaching staff, the Head of State shared a privileged moment with the CP1 class.

At the heart of this visit, Captain Ibrahim Traoré transformed into a teacher, imparting essential lessons to the young students on the values of citizenship and solidarity. He emphasized the importance of hard work and respect for parents, advising the children to remain disciplined, wise, and to become exemplary citizens.

During his interaction with the students, the President of the Transition also emphasized the importance of solidarity and patriotism. By singing the national anthem, the « Ditanyè », together, the students expressed their commitment to their country and their willingness to grow as responsible citizens respectful of their nation’s values.

After this session with the students, Captain Ibrahim Traoré had the opportunity to discuss with the teaching staff. For him, this visit to Péni Primary School represents an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the realities faced by education stakeholders.
