Saudi Arabia announces major oil and gas discoveries in Eastern province and Rub’ al Khali

Saudi Arabia’s Energy Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, has announced significant new oil and gas discoveries in the Eastern Province and the Rub’ al Khali region, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

These findings result from the ongoing efforts of Saudi Aramco, the state-owned oil giant.

The recent discoveries include two unconventional oil deposits, a light Arabian crude reservoir, two natural gas fields, and two gas reservoirs.

These new resources enhance Saudi Arabia’s position as a global leader in the energy sector.

In the Al Ladam field of the Eastern Province, an unconventional oil deposit was found, producing 5,100 barrels per day of very light Arabian crude, along with 4.9 million standard cubic feet of gas daily.

Another unconventional oil field in the same province yields 4,557 barrels per day of very light Arabian crude and 3.79 million standard cubic feet of gas daily.

Additionally, a reservoir in this province produces 1,780 barrels per day of very light Arabian crude and 0.7 million standard cubic feet of gas daily.

In the Rub’ al Khali region, a natural gas field was discovered with an impressive output of 7.6 million standard cubic feet per day, along with 40 barrels per day of condensate. Another gas reservoir in this region produces 4.9 million standard cubic feet of gas daily.

These discoveries underscore the vast energy potential of Saudi Arabia and reaffirm Saudi Aramco’s commitment to exploring and developing new resources to meet the growing global energy demands.
