Burkina Faso/Effort for peace: Burkina Faso and its friends continue to honour their commitment to peace
The Burkinabe people, along with friends of Burkina Faso, continue their remarkable efforts in supporting the armed forces and authorities engaged in the fight against terrorism and the liberation of the entire national territory.
Significant additional contributions to the patriotic support fund have been announced once again. Specifically, a generous gesture of solidarity comes from Li Yubao, a Chinese-turned-Burkinabe philanthropist and the CEO of China Yunong International Holding.
Reports indicate that he has once again donated an amount of 44 million CFA francs to bolster the coffers of the patriotic support fund.
His initial contribution in November 2023 amounted to 421.7 million CFA francs. This brings his total financial support to over 465 million CFA francs.
It is his way of contributing to the restoration of peace and stability in the country, which has become his second home since he obtained Burkinabe citizenship a year ago.
In the spirit of the saying, “no sacrifice is too great when it comes to the future or the good of the nation,” a similar sense of sharing and solidarity is observed among the women of the Yatenga province in the Northern region of Burkina Faso.
They have mobilized a sum of three (03) million CFA francs to also support the efforts of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP).
Burkinabe citizens are urged to continue their acts of generosity and solidarity without faltering, as the fight against terrorism must intensify for significant results to be achieved and for the country to be completely liberated.
