Togo: President Faure Gnassingbé, a Leader who listens to his People

The President of  Togo Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé has demonstrated exceptional leadership in promoting democracy and addressing the concerns of his people. In response to the controversy surrounding a recent constitutional revision law passed by Parliament, the President made a significant decision by calling for a second review of the legislation.

During a meeting with the National Assembly’s office in Lomé on April 3rd, President Gnassingbé expressed his desire for a thorough reevaluation of the contentious law.

Furthermore, in recognition of time constraints, the government has adjusted the timeline for legislative and regional elections initially scheduled for April 20, 2024.
