Burkina Faso: Captain Ibrahim Traoré calls on fighting forces in the centre-east to step up initiatives to ensure their safety and that of the population

During a recent visit to the Central-East region of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the Burkinabe Revolutionary President and Head of State, took a moment to extend his congratulations and unwavering support to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) stationed in Tenkodogo, as well as the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), who are actively on the front lines in the battle against terrorism.

In a speech characterized by both gratitude and a resolute spirit, the Head of State applauded the triumphs achieved so far while acknowledging the persistent challenges that lie ahead.

He stressed that «the war is still ongoing», emphasizing the critical need for sustained vigilance and dedication to ensure the safety and security of the population.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré went on to encourage the fighting forces to fortify their defense and self-defense techniques, placing significant importance on the exchange of experiences and initiatives among different units.

He passionately urged each individual to play their role with determination, underscoring the collective responsibility inherent in safeguarding the homeland.

Acknowledging the formidable challenges faced by the fighting forces, the Transitional President committed to delivering prompt and tailored solutions.

He called for a united front and unwavering determination in the pursuit of the common objective: the assurance of security and stability for Burkina Faso.
