Champions League Showdown: PSG aims for Last 16 against Borussia Dortmund

PSG travel to Borussia Dortmund on Matchday 6 of the Champions League group stage. With 10 points from 5 games, Borussia Dortmund have already secured their place in the last 16 of the Champions League.

After losing at the Parc des Princes (0-2), the Germans won the head-to-head meetings against Newcastle (1-0, 2-0) and Milan (0-0, 3-1). At the same time, the Parisians struggled more.

Luis Enrique’s men lost at Newcastle (1-4) and Milan (1-2). They won only their home game against the Lombards, drawing 1-1 at the Magpies.

As a result, the Parisians have been less impressive at the start of their European campaign.

And although they finished second, they have yet to secure a definitive ticket for the rest of the competition. PSG will qualify against BVB if they win.

BVB are without Emre Can, who is suspended. Julian Ryerson, Youssoufa Moukoko, Sébastien Haller and Julian Duranville are unavailable, while Marius Wolf and Marcel Sabitzer are doubtful.

For his part, Luis Enrique welcomes back Warren Zaïre-Emery, but Ousmane Dembélé is suspended. Nuno Mendes, Presnel Kimpembe, Fabian Ruiz, Keylor Navas and Sergio Rico are absent. Here is the likely line-up for both teams.

Borussia Dortmund’s likely line-up: Kobel – Wolf, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Bensebaini – Sabitzer, Ozcan – Reus, Brandt, Bynoe-Gittens – Fullkrug.

PSG’s likely line-up: Donnarumma – Hakimi, Marquinhos, Skriniar, Hernandez – Lee, Ugarte, Vitinha – Barcola, Kolo Muani, Mbappé.
