France Knocks Senegal Out of U17 World Cup

The U17 World Cup journey comes to an end for the Senegal National Team in the round of 16.  Despite dominating the match and creating clear chances, Serigne Saliou Dia’s squad suffered a defeat against France on Wednesday, with a final score of 0-0 and a 5-3 loss in the penalty shootout.

The reigning African champions, known as the Lion Cubs, struggled to find the crucial goal, and their lack of precision proved fatal.

Notably, Senegal played without their captain and key player, Amara Diouf, who was sidelined due to an injury sustained against Japan. Looking ahead, the French youth team is set to face Uzbekistan in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
