Niger: A major concert in Agadez in support of the CNSP

A major concert in support of the national Council for the Safeguard of the homeland (CNSP) was held on Sunday 15 October in AGADEZ. Organised by the CNSP regional support committee and the Nigerien Association of Artists, Composers, Performers, and Musicians (ANACIMM), the concert was part of a series of activities in support of the CNSP’s efforts to secure Niger’s independence, safeguard its homeland and reaffirm the Niger people’s desire to live in a peaceful, stable and developed country.

In one of their compositions, these artists created a collective song for ANACIMM, in which they paid tribute to all the country’s valiant sons and daughters, who have never ceased to make enormous sacrifices to safeguard their homeland.

They also encouraged the valiant soldiers who are fighting on several fronts, at the cost of their lives, to ensure security, peace and national defence and to create the conditions for cohesion between the FDS and the people.

The concert was above all an opportunity for artists from the Agadez region to denounce once again the illegal and illegitimate sanctions imposed on Niger by ECOWAS and UEMOA.

They also denounced the French government’s cowardly and disgraceful decision to expel students from Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso from French universities and schools.

While the voice of the artist is one of the best communication tools for transmitting messages, these artists took the opportunity to warn all the adventurous supporters of a military intervention on the continent of Niger that the French government’s decision to expel Nigerien, Malian and Burkinabé students from French universities and schools is cowardly and disgraceful.
