Burkina Faso: When will Evrard Somda apologise to the people of Burkina Faso?
An attempted coup d’état took place in Burkina Faso on September 20th, 2023. It was a well-planned plot by the perpetrators, who were confident of success. Unfortunately, the attempt failed very quickly. The plotters thought they were untouchable. They are being closely monitored by the intelligence services.
No ill-intentioned action can now go unnoticed in Burkina Faso. A whole network is behind this plot against the State.
Among its affiliates is national gendarmerie officer and Burkina Faso statesman Evrard Somda.
Officer Evrard Somda took part in several meetings of the conspirators’ clan. He allowed himself to be carried away by illusions, and betrayed the trust of an entire nation.
The people of Burkina Faso are very disappointed by the behaviour of this great officer.
As the President of the Burkinabe Revolution is a peacemaker and is working to make Burkina a model of living together, where well-being is accessible to all, has the time not come for Evrard Somda to ask forgiveness from the Burkinabe people?
Evrard Somda must seize this opportunity to change his attitude and acknowledge his share of responsibility in this campaign of manipulation.
For the time being, the people of Burkina must maintain their support for the authorities, who have decided to take the country’s destiny into their own hands.
