Togo: President Faure Gnassingbé provides the Sylvanus Olympio University Hospital in Lomé with a new scanner

The President of the Togolese Republic, His Excellency Mr. Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, has equipped the Sylvanus Olympio University Hospital, one of the largest public hospitals in Togo, with a new scanner that was put into service on Monday, July 10, 2023. This acquisition is part of the extensive program to rehabilitate and modernize the healthcare system led by the government of Victoire Tomegah Dogbé under the guidance of the visionary Togolese leader, President Faure Gnassingbé.

Indeed, the Sylvanus Olympio University Hospital has been receiving updated medical equipment from President Faure Gnassingbé for some time now.

This remarkable and exceptional state-of-the-art scanner is called a 64-slice scanner because it performs sixty-four (64) rotations. Its high-definition 3D images, delivered in less than 10 seconds, are a valuable asset and enable precise and rapid diagnostics.

Moreover, this highly efficient device will allow the doctors at this public hospital to perform fast and in-depth examinations of the skull, chest, abdomen, and blood vessels.

With its 128 slices, it can detect lesions within seconds, thereby enabling early and effective care for Togolese patients.

It is also an effective means for the Sylvanus Olympio University Hospital to provide quality healthcare to the people of Togo.

On its part, the Togolese government continues to invest in the modernization of healthcare infrastructure to meet the growing needs of its population.

It is worth noting that as part of the extensive program to rehabilitate and modernize the Togolese healthcare system, led by the government, President Faure Gnassingbé inaugurated the first reference hospital in Togo, Dogtag La Fiè, just three months ago.
