This summer, the former midfielder joined Standard Liege as assistant coach, but he has higher ambitions for the future. Yaya Touré is therefore continuing his journey in the world of football as a coach, nurturing the dream of establishing himself in one of the most competitive leagues, the Premier League.
«I have to take it step by step, I’m still learning. I’m very open to anything. I just have to keep doing what I’m doing. Why not the Premier League? I don’t know how long that will take. I’m open to most things. I know it’s going to be a big challenge and that being a coach is becoming more and more difficult. You see coaches who only survive for four or five months. That’s the way it is. That’s the reality. I’m patient enough and I have to take my steps carefully and correctly», confided Yaya Touré.
