Burkina Faso: The VDP in the Northern Region galvanized by their commander

Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Savadogo, commander of the Volunteer Defense Brigade (BVDP), conducted a two-day visit to the Northern Region last weekend, where he met and interacted with the VDP members. The purpose was to congratulate them for their remarkable work in the war against terrorism and to encourage them to continue their efforts.

Accompanied by the Chief of the 12th Commando Infantry Regiment in Ouahigouya and the Regional Coordinator of the VDP, Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Savadogo met with several community groups of army auxiliaries in the provinces of Yatenga, Zandoma, and Passoré, as well as the national VDP units based in Ouahigouya and Gourcy.

The message delivered to the VDP members was one of motivation. The Brigade commander urged them to increase their commitment and collaboration with all the defense and security forces deployed in the Northern Region.

the commander of the BVDP  then gave instructions to address the needs expressed by the VDP, particularly if these grievances can be resolved at the regional level.

Upon his return from the trip, Mr. Savadogo made a stop in Boussé, the capital of Kourwéogo province, where he also engaged with the local VDP members.
