The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, was awarded the BRICS Medal on Monday by the President of the International BRICS alliance Strategic Projects, Mrs. Larisa ZELENTSOVA, for his fight for the sovereignty of his country.
This Brics Medal decoration, which honors the determination and courage of Captain Ibrahim TRAORE in his fight, was awarded during an audience granted to a delegation from the BRICS Alliance led by Mrs. Larisa ZELENTSOVA.
According to her, the audience addressed the issue of cooperation and support from BRICS countries to Burkina Faso.
«We are in the process of establishing the representation of the BRICS Alliance in Burkina Faso, which will work in certain sectors, and the main focus areas will be defined by the President of the Transition», said Mrs. Larisa ZELENTSOVA.
She added that the areas of cooperation envisaged between the BRICS countries and Burkina Faso would include economic development, humanitarian aid and culture.
