Burkina Faso / Alert: A massive disinformation campaign is being prepared against President Ibrahim Traoré’s close associates
According to multiple sources, a Machiavellian plot of terrible magnitude is being prepared to undermine the morale of Burkina Faso’s Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), while also destabilizing the country’s top leadership.
THE IVORIAN CONNECTION
The spin doctors serving Burkina Faso’s adversaries are stopping at nothing. According to our information, this destabilization campaign has been in preparation from Côte d’Ivoire, which, openly and visibly, hosts the majority of operatives tarnishing the image of Burkinabe authorities.
It is worth recalling that the Minister of Security, Mahamadou Sana, recently revealed that an attempted coup had been foiled on January 3, 2026, partly financed by funds originating from Côte d’Ivoire.
This new manipulation is part of a well-oiled strategy: sowing chaos within the fighting forces and spreading false information about the collaborators closest to President Ibrahim Traoré.
The goal is to weaken the government from within by stoking distrust among Burkinabe authorities.
THE NEW STRATEGY
The enemies of Burkina Faso plan to create pages identical to those of communicators who faithfully support the regime, in order to launch their smear campaign against the President’s close collaborators.
This strategy aims to deceive the population and make the disinformation and manipulation campaign appear to come from regime supporters.
Fake pages will be created in large numbers to relay false accusations against Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s collaborators.
At this stage, it is difficult to say exactly which of the President’s close associates will be targeted by this upcoming wave of disinformation.
Since the pages and media of BIR-COM are now known to the imperialists and their local lackeys, the enemy communicators have no choice but to create fake accounts and pages identical to those of BIR-COM to pose as pro-regime cyber-activists.
Their objective is to sow confusion, blur the tracks, and carry out their disinformation campaign by stealing the identity of genuine regime supporters, so that the population can no longer distinguish truth from falsehood.
THE THREAT
This diabolical plan is a declaration of war on Burkina Faso’s stability. By targeting the FDS and VDP, these manipulators seek to break the morale of troops fighting terrorism every day.
Likewise, by targeting the Head of State’s collaborators, they hope to provoke fractures within the government.
Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s trust in his collaborators remains a shield against these manipulations.
A CALL FOR VIGILANCE
It is time for all communicators and pages that support the authorities to remain on high alert, to denounce any suspicious page or account attempting to impersonate regime supporters. Information must be verified before sharing, and these attempts must be reported.
Burkina Faso’s enemies have realized they cannot win on the military battlefield. They are now betting on information warfare to destabilize the country from within.
