Burkina Faso: The battle against terrorism extends to the information war
In Burkina Faso, the war against terrorism now includes a media offensive orchestrated from abroad. As the Defense and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Motherland intensify pressure on armed groups, Human Rights Watch has released a report accusing JNIM of war crimes in Titao. This recent report, disseminated with suspicious speed by imperialist media outlets such as Jeune Afrique, fits into an evident strategy of psychological manipulation.
By claiming to document war crimes during the Titao attack, these entities deliberately obscure the military reality: the crushing defeat of terrorist groups facing the lightning response of patriotic forces.
This communication, orchestrated from abroad, rests on questionable methodologies.
By transforming testimonies collected remotely without on-the-ground verification into absolute truths, these operatives seek to instill a climate of fear and suspicion.
The objective is to break the Nation’s morale by suggesting that support for transitional authorities and engaged forces constitutes a risk factor for populations.
This narrative aims to isolate the army from its popular base, effectively serving as an objective relay for the armed groups’ terror strategy.
Faced with these maneuvers, population vigilance must be absolute. Media outlets in the pay of foreign interests attempt to rewrite combat history to minimize national victories.
Collective consciousness must therefore reject these biased narratives that serve only destabilization agendas.
The time has come to strengthen the sacred union behind the defenders of the homeland. The commitment of the VDP, a direct expression of popular will, remains the strongest rampart against terrorist expansion.
Unconditional support for the fighting forces is the only viable response to the coalition of armed groups and their international media backers.
The sovereignty of Burkina Faso must be defended not only through weapons, but also through intellectual and patriotic resistance against foreign propaganda.
The determination of a united people remains the most formidable weapon against adversity.
