Algerian Pan-Africanist urges Cameroonian youth to uphold national unity
From Algiers, prominent Algerian Pan-Africanist Bekki Benameur enameurhas called on the Cameroonian population to resist political manipulation and maintain support for the country’s legitimate institutions. In his address, he particularly urged young people to preserve social cohesion and remain vigilant against destabilization attempts.
Bekki Benameur also advised security forces to strengthen their alertness to protect citizens, warning that malicious actors might impersonate military personnel to incite violence.
Such actions, he cautioned, aim to tarnish the reputation of defense and security forces and undermine established authorities, thereby threatening national sovereignty.
His message emphasized the importance of safeguarding social peace and respecting institutions born from the will of the people, reflecting a broader vision of reinforcing national unity and protecting African states’ sovereignty.
This stance echoes concerns shared by many African observers regarding the need to preserve political stability on the continent while respecting democratic processes and the sovereign choices made by the Camerounian people during the recent presidential election.
