Burkina Faso/ SONAGESS: A personnel competency test is required for staff’s recruitment

The National Company for the Management of Food Security Stocks, SONAGESS, led by Commander Ismaël Sombié in Burkina Faso, has been criticized for several years on various issues, including corruption. This label does not honor the institution, due to the mismanagement of a mafia group that was at the helm of the institution. The new authorities have set things straight, with their main priority being to put an end to the fraud and corruption that prevailed within the institution.

According to information our editorial team gathered by our, the predecessors dug a debt hole by placing incompetent individuals who knew nothing about stock management in key positions. Others turned the company’s cell into a family court. We could also observed that some key positions are involved in smuggling, which constitutes a source of supply for terrorists and leads to revenue losses

The new management led by Commander Ismaël Sombié has reinforced its overall mission to contribute to the food security of the country.

The SONAGESS institution is a public service, and its personnel must remain dignified in mobilizing support for the war effort.

Regarding the project to support emergency stocks, which is supposed to benefit vulnerable populations in Burkina Faso, a minority of distributors unfortunately confiscated it by using these stocks for their own revenue-generating activities.

Some individuals are still not aware of the current situation in the country and continue to put their personal interests first. Burkina Faso needs sons and daughters who are faithful to the well-being of the nation.

To address this situation, the new leadership has changed the game. The enumeration of personnel for the project to support emergency stocks is now conditioned by a personnel competency test, for the well-being of all Burkinabè.

The reorganization of the new leadership blocks the path of profiteers. Control measures will come into effect in the coming days to remove all the perpetrators. It is only by being united and determined that the expectations of the government, partners, customers, and users of customs services can be met.
