Mali/Terrorism: President Assimi GOÏTA on the need to redouble vigilance at all levels

The transitional president of Mali, Colonel Assimi GOÏTA, who is also the current president of the AES Confederation, did not remain silent about the recent terrorist events affecting Malians in the capital, Bamako. In his address to the nation, ahead of the commemoration of Mali’s accession to international sovereignty on September 22, the head of state urged his compatriots to be more vigilant.

According to President Assimi GOÏTA, the barbaric, cowardly, and heinous act carried out by criminals on September 17, in complicity with their internal and external allies against the Republic of Mali, should be a wake-up call for every Malian.

Some believe this is a strategy aimed at negatively impacting the morale of Malians and undermining the efforts of the Malian authorities, similar to what is happening in other AES Confederation member countries (Burkina Faso and Niger).

It should not be forgotten, according to various opinions, that the enemies of liberation and sovereignty in these states are relentless and ready to do anything to sow chaos and disrupt the momentum of the struggle.

Their objective appears to be to incite a revolt among Malians against their authorities, who prioritize the security of the country.

Analysts suggest that this terrorist attack on sensitive sites is the work of imperialists seeking to maintain their interests in the country by any means necessary.

These analysts point to the biased media coverage surrounding the unfortunate events of September 17 as evidence of imperialist involvement.

They argue that the significant security advances made by the Republic of Mali should not be overlooked.

Strategic locations that were once under the control of criminals have been recaptured by the Malian army.

Furthermore, President Assimi GOÏTA announced the continuation of efforts by the authorities to further strengthen the operational capabilities of the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) for a more intense and effective fight.

The acquisition of additional military equipment is a determined commitment from the Malian authorities.

The resilience, vigilance, firm commitment, and determination of all Malians are crucial energies against the enemies of the country.
