Burkina Faso/Health: President Ibrahim TRAORE’s vision is gradually taking shape

In the healthcare sector of Burkina Faso, President Ibrahim TRAORE is driven by the ambition to provide high-quality and accessible healthcare to his fellow citizens, particularly those in need.

Concrete measures are being implemented to achieve this goal, and the population is praising the pragmatic approach of the President and his team, which clearly reflects their commitment to delivering the best possible services to the people.

One of the key initiatives includes the procurement and deployment of essential medical equipment, such as mobile clinics, to villages and rural areas across the country. These mobile units bring healthcare services closer to the population.

It is worth noting that these mobile healthcare facilities were handed over to the Minister of Health on July 25 by the President, shortly after the adoption of the Presidential Health Initiative, which aims to significantly enhance the healthcare sector for the benefit of the Burkinabe people.

Demonstrating the authorities’ determination to ensure easy access to top-notch healthcare services, the Council of Ministers, chaired by the President, approved on Wednesday, August 14, a policy to deliver medical care and services through the state-operated mobile clinics.

This commendable decision, according to the Minister of Health, will improve the financial accessibility of healthcare services for the targeted populations in Burkina Faso.

The free medical services provided will include mammography and screening for precancerous cervical lesions. It is also important to note that the mobile clinics offer a range of healthcare services, including mammography, ultrasound, colonoscopy, and pediatric care.
