Mali : The Bamako-Moscow axis more dynamic for a Win-Win partnership

Since the rupture of cooperation with France and the withdrawal of French military from the Sahel, the countries of the AES have opened up to other partners who respect the sovereignty of their states and with whom cooperation suffers from no ambiguity. In this landscape of partnership, Russia is taking the lead.

So, between Mali under Colonel Assimi Goïta and Russia, there is a strategic partnership based on regular political and military exchanges, transfers of expertise in armaments, strengthening of operational capacities of the Malian armed forces, and a diversifie d and advantageous relationship for both countries.

In line with the vision of the Malian and Russian Heads of State to strengthen and consolidate the achievements of this military cooperation, a Malian delegation including Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdoulaye Diop and Minister of Defense Colonel Sadio Camara will be on a working and friendly visit to Moscow at the invitation of the Russian government.

Thus, during their stay in the Russian capital, these Malian officials, through high-level consultations, technical and sectoral meetings, will work to strengthen and energize the Bamako-Moscow axis based on mutual respect, fruitful cooperation for the respective peoples.

Among the priority topics at the heart of this meeting are cooperation in the fields of energy, transportation, etc.
