DRC: “FATHIVAR”, an application to support Félix Tshisekedi

The electoral campaign for the presidential election on December 20 is in full swing in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), with President Félix Tshisekedi’s party striving to gain the trust of the electorate for his potential second term. To facilitate widespread awareness of President Tshisekedi’s accomplishments, his communications team launched a new application named “FATSHIVAR” during a press conference in Kinshasa.

«FATSHIVAR» is designed as a citizen awareness application, providing geo-localized images showcasing the President’s actions and achievements across various sectors throughout the country and all territories of the Republic.

Myoto Liyolo, the communications director for Tshisekedi’s campaign team, highlighted that «FATSHIVAR» will serve as a valuable tool for political communicators and citizens seeking detailed and certified information about the progress of the DRC under President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo’s leadership.

Nathan Mpona, the project’s initiator, presented the platform’s functionalities, emphasizing that «FATSHIVAR» aims to be a participatory platform extending beyond the electoral period, accompanying the Head of State during his potential second term.

The application enables users to share photos and videos of witnessed achievements for the broader community.

Currently available on Playstore, the creators mentioned that an IOS version of “FATSHIVAR” is under development, ensuring accessibility across different mobile platforms.
