Algeria: President Tebboune is strict about project execution deadlines, a guarantee of trust between the government and the people

Respecting commitments and honoring promises have become a part of the culture of the Algerian state under the presidency of Tebboune. Indeed, there is scarcely an occasion when President Abdelmadjid Tebboune does not emphasize to the government and officials their duty to adhere to them, aiming to preserve the credibility of the state and its image both domestically and internationally.

Whenever an opportunity arises, President Abdelmadjid carefully urges the government to live up to the people’s trust. He insists on scrupulously respecting all deadlines set for project completion, the initiation of initiatives, or the implementation of decisions.

Any decision, measure, or project announced would be rendered insignificant if not executed within the stipulated timeframes, or even before their deadlines. This is crucial for the credibility of the state, a goal President Abdelmadjid aims to consolidate, strengthen, and maintain.

For the President, adhering to deadlines in project implementation and decision-making is a paramount objective he has not forsaken since assuming office. In addition to upholding the credibility of the state »s performance, it’s also about safeguarding citizens” rights, addressing their concerns, and protecting public funds by avoiding delays and, consequently, cost escalation in projects.

The President, committed to moralizing public life, has elevated the “respect for deadlines” to a pedestal, considering it an inevitable principle ensuring fair competition and equality, safeguarding the rights of economic operators, bolstering the investment base, and attracting investors. It also significantly enhances the credibility of the state in the eyes of its international partners.

All of this justifies President Tebboune’s consistent warnings to his ministers against making promises that cannot be kept and setting deadlines that cannot be met.
