Burkina Faso/Djibo Attack: The Injured Receive Visit from Government Delegation

Victims of the terrorist attack that targeted the military camp and other strategic points in the city of Djibo on Sunday, November 26th, were evacuated to the University Hospitals (CHU) of Tengodogo and Bogodogo and received a government visit.

The Minister of Solidarity, Humanitarian Action, National Reconciliation, Gender, and Family, Nandy SOME/DIALLO, along with her counterpart in Health and Public Hygiene, Dr. Lucien KARGOUGOU, toured various healthcare centers where these victims are being treated.

From the University Hospital Center (CHU) of Tengandogo to the CHU of Bogodogo, the government delegation led by the Minister of Solidarity was able, on behalf of the Government, to inquire about the health status of these victims and offer encouragement to the healthcare staff at these two medical facilities.

According to information provided, each patient received a symbolic gesture of support and moral backing from the members of the delegation. In total, around ten individuals, six at the CHU of Tengandogo and four at the CHU of Bogodogo, including two former victims injured in the Yamba attack, were recipients of this government visit.

As a reminder, all these patients are receiving support in terms of financial assistance and materials from the National Fund for Solidarity and Social Resilience, which is a department under the Ministry of Solidarity, Humanitarian Action, National Reconciliation, Gender, and Family.
