Football/ Inter Miami appoints Kily González as new Head Coach
Inter Miami has officially named Kily González as its new head coach, following the departure of Javier Mascherano and the interim stint of Guillermo Hoyos.
The Argentine, 52, is a familiar name to fans of early-2000s Valencia. A left winger during his playing days, González reached two Champions League finals with the Spanish club (2000, 2001) before moving to Inter Milan. He retired in 2011 while wearing the Rosario Central shirt.
Since transitioning to coaching in 2020, González has managed Rosario Central, CA Unión, and most recently Platense last year.
The Florida franchise now entrusts its project to a coach whose European pedigree and South American roots could prove valuable in a squad built around Lionel Messi.
