Togo/Health: Dogta Lafiè Reference Hospital Gradually Approaches the Population
Slowly but surely, the Dogta Lafiè hospital is getting closer to the population, aiming to promote access to quality healthcare for the Togolese people. The hospital infrastructure officially opened an annex on Friday, December 1st, within the Résidence Renaissance in Lomé, located in the Golfe 3 municipality.
The annex, now open every day, will provide healthcare services to the population. According to the information available, in case of hospitalization needs, the patient will be transferred either to the main hospital or to the nearest healthcare facility of their choice. The annex offers 16 specialties, including general medicine, cardiology, pediatrics, and ophthalmology.
It will also provide emergency care, with the most severe cases being handled by specialists from the Dogta Lafiè hospital or another hospital, as per the information provided. The opening of this annex follows the launch last September of home care services.
The ambition of the promoters of this hospital complex is to expand Dogta Lafiè to other regions of Togo, notably to Blitta in the central region and Kara in the Kara region, providing all essential healthcare services and necessary equipment.
As a reminder, the design of the Dogta Lafiè reference hospital is part of the project to strengthen the national healthcare system, outlined by the Head of State, Faure GNASSINGBE, as part of his commitments for the benefit of the population.
