Sudan/North Kordofan: Drone strike attributed to Sudanese army kills dozens of civilians in Al-Mazroub
Dozens of civilians, including women and children, were killed and wounded today, Friday, September 25, as a result of an airstrike carried out by a drone belonging to the “Sudanese army,” which targeted a drinking water source (dunki) in the Al-Mazroub area of North Kordofan State.
A local source reported that the bombardment took place late this morning while citizens were crowded together to obtain water, confirming dozens of casualties, while expecting the death toll to rise due to critical injuries and health facilities going out of service as a result of repeated targeting.
The source indicated that drones continued to fly over the area, at a time when North Kordofan is witnessing an escalation in military operations that is exacerbating fears for the safety of civilians and services.
