Togo: The Ministry of Foreign affairs is committed to digital transformation
In Togo, the digital transformation of public administration continues apace. After the ministries of energy and tourism, it is now the turn of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to begin digitizing its services.
The work was officially launched on Tuesday, March 31, by Togo’s chief diplomat, Robert Dussey, accompanied by his colleague, the minister responsible for public service efficiency, Cina Lawson.
This initiative is part of the Public Administration Digitalization Program (PDAAP), a vast government project aimed at modernizing all of the country’s administrative procedures.
The stated objective is ambitious: to complete this transformation within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in just four weeks.
A tight schedule that reflects the Togolese authorities’ determination to accelerate the move toward a more efficient and responsive administration.
Speaking at the launch, Minister Robert Dussey emphasized the strategic importance of this approach. “Digitalization is not merely an option for improvement. It is a recognized accelerator in the implementation of our country’s development objectives,” he declared firmly.
For Togo’s chief diplomat, digital technology is therefore not a luxury but a necessity to meet contemporary challenges.
For her part, Minister Cina Lawson, who oversees the modernization of public service, welcomed her colleague’s commitment.
This interministerial collaboration illustrates the overall vision of the Togolese government: to make digital technology a cross-cutting lever for performance across the entire public administration.
Ultimately, this digital transformation should significantly improve the user experience, whether for Togolese citizens or foreign partners interacting with Togolese diplomacy.
The quality of services provided by the state will thus be strengthened, in a dynamic of transparency and efficiency.
With this new step, Togo confirms its determination to build a modern administration in the service of national development.
