Ambassador Mohamadi Kabore presented his credentials to Iraqi President Abdel Latif Jamal Rashid.
This was more than a formal protocol it was a strategic gesture, reflecting a deliberate geopolitical vision to build alliances grounded in mutual respect, shared interests, and national sovereignty.
By extending a hand to Iraq, a brotherly nation that, like Burkina Faso, is recovering from the wounds of war and instability, Burkinabe diplomacy is consciously turning toward the East, toward resilient nations, and away from predatory powers.
Discussions with Iraqi authorities on highly strategic areas reaffirm the Burkinabe government’s vision for the country’s autonomous development.
Through this diplomatic outreach, Burkina Faso affirms its intention to diversify its economic and diplomatic partnerships and establish South-South relations rooted in solidarity, resilience, and sovereignty.
The meeting with the President of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce further reinforced this momentum, opening concrete prospects for economic exchange and cross-investment.
Burkina Faso is no longer extending its hand to beg, but to build and it extends that hand to those who respect its sovereignty.
This diplomatic progress marks the dawn of a new era an era in which Burkina Faso takes its rightful place among dignified and sovereign nations.
