Burkina Faso: The imperialists’ and allies’ relentless attack on the VDPs is a sign of their importance to the struggle

The experience with French media, often seen as allies of French domination in Africa, as well as with organizations that claim to defend human rights but are allegedly instrumentalized, has shown that nothing happens by chance. When they focus on a country or an individual, their underlying motives often differ from what they publicly proclaim.

This is evident in the case of Burkina Faso, especially since the visionary Captain Ibrahim Traoré and his patriotic collaborators came to power.

The Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), alongside the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the country’s leaders, are constantly targeted by these media outlets and NGOs that claim to champion human rights.

After a brief period of calm, the smear campaigns and baseless allegations have resurfaced with renewed vigor against these brave sons of Burkina Faso.

These individuals heeded the call of the President to join the VDP and stand alongside the national army in defending their communities with dignity.

As the noose tightens around their proxies—the terrorists—the enemies of the nation, comprising local collaborators, propaganda media, stateless entities, and international organizations serving neocolonial interests, are intensifying their efforts against these valiant fighters.

Their new obsession is to demoralize and demotivate the VDP, sow division among communities, or pit civilians against the fighters.

It is important to remember that the people, united in their shared resolve, are mobilizing to drive these criminals out of their borders.

This is becoming increasingly evident through the remarkable achievements of the security forces, supported by the VDP.

Today, thanks to the patriotism and dedication of the VDP, bolstered by the unwavering support of their compatriots, numerous localities once besieged by criminals have been liberated and secured.

According to a report presented by the head of government during his address on the state of the nation before the national assembly, the efforts of the fighters (VDP and FDS) and all Burkinabe have enabled the gradual resettlement of over 1,014,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) in nearly 700 liberated and now secure localities.

Labeling these fighters as militias and accusing them of committing atrocities against their own brothers and sisters is nothing but malice and an attempt to undermine the efforts to reclaim the nation’s territory.

In the face of these destabilization attempts, vigilance, resilience, and perseverance in the patriotic struggle remain essential. The unity and determination of the Burkinabe people will continue to be their greatest strength in overcoming these challenges.
