Burkina Faso/ Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s vision: US Congress welcomes agricultural offensive and security advances

A U.S. Congressional delegation, led by Representative James Austin Scott, met with Dr. Ousmane Bougouma, President of the Transitional Legislative Assembly of Burkina Faso, on August 29. The meeting signaled growing international acknowledgment of the country’s efforts under Captain Ibrahim Traoré to achieve meaningful national transformation.
The American lawmakers particularly commended Burkina Faso’s agricultural initiatives central to its pursuit of food sovereignty and noted significant progress in reclaiming territory from armed groups.
