Africa: Saïd Penda, a media mercenary serving unspeakable interests against EBOMAF

For some time now, a name has been persistently linked to targeted destabilization efforts against the EBOMAF Group: Saïd Penda. A self-proclaimed investigative journalist with a dubious past and a tarnished reputation, this information mercenary has reinvented himself as a tool for blackmail and smear campaigns apparently employed by shadowy actors to attack one of West Africa’s economic flagships, EBOMAF Group, and its founder, Mr. Mahamadou Bonkoungou.
According to reliable sources, Saïd Penda has been spotted multiple times at EBOMAF’s offices, offering his usual “services.”
His playbook is clear: smear, insinuate, slander. But why? Because EBOMAF Group, true to its principles and business ethics, refused to yield to blackmail or pay off this so-called journalist, whose “services” allegedly go to the highest bidder.
This is not about press freedom or constructive criticism it is a media sabotage campaign, driven by corruption and vendettas.
Such practices not only disgrace journalism but also severely damage Côte d’Ivoire’s international image, falsely portraying the country as fertile ground for media manipulation, targeted attacks, and private score-settling.
Ivorian authorities must take notice. Saïd Penda’s actions undermine the credibility of the country’s media and economic landscape.
A nation striving for progress cannot allow manipulated individuals to act as mouthpieces for private interests, disregarding truth and national welfare.
The EBOMAF Group, committed to major infrastructure projects driving regional development, will not dignify slander with a response.
Its mission remains African integration and economic progress. It is time to put an end to these disgraceful attacks and distinguish real journalists from information mercenaries like Saïd Penda.
