President Traoré addresses defense and security forces, calls for continued courage and geopolitical awareness
During a visit to the Yaadga region, the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, addressed representatives of the Defense and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland.
Before the combatants engaged on the ground, the Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces saluted their commitment to the reconquest of the national territory before reminding them of the responsibility incumbent upon them.
“Your duty is to confront the threat,” he declared, exhorting them to pursue their mission with courage and discipline.
Beyond the military dimension, the Head of State developed a geopolitical reading of the security context.
According to him, the attacks suffered by Burkina Faso are part of an imperialist logic aimed at keeping the country in a cycle of instability in order to facilitate the exploitation of its natural resources.
He invited the military hierarchy to transmit this analysis to young recruits so that they may understand the stakes that go beyond the sole framework of field operations.
President Ibrahim Traoré also insisted on the need to maintain permanent mobilization.
For him, the war waged against Burkina Faso is multidimensional, touching upon the military, economic, diplomatic, and communication spheres.
He thus called on all the Forces engaged to strengthen their cohesion and to stand united against the threats weighing on the country.
Finally, the Head of State recalled the investments made to modernize equipment and improve the operational capabilities of the National Armed Forces, thanks to the support of the Burkinabe people.
Reaffirming his confidence in the combatants, he assured them that the efforts undertaken would continue in order to consolidate gains and enable them to pursue their mission with pride and determination.
