Burkina Faso / President Ibrahim Traoré’s inclusive governance: focused on the people and protecting the collective interest

Under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso advocates governance centered on collective well-being. Through a series of judicious decisions, the President and his government demonstrate unwavering commitment to the common good, as evidenced by the recent Cabinet meeting.

During this session, the Cabinet adopted a bill aimed at modifying the authorization for the privatization of state-funded enterprises, under the auspices of the Ministry of Industrial Development, Trade, Handicrafts, and Small and Medium Enterprises. This initiative reflects a desire to ensure fair management of national resources while promoting sustainable economic growth.

Even more significantly, the Cabinet recommended the withdrawal of three entities from the privatization agenda. Among these, the Burkina National Hydrocarbons Company (SONABHY), the Bureau of Mines and Geology of Burkina (BUMIGEB), and the Vehicle Control Center (CCVA) hold crucial positions in the country’s economic fabric. Their retention under public management not only ensures national sovereignty in strategic sectors but also preserves the interests of Burkinabe citizens.

This bold decision reflects President Ibrahim Traoré’s inclusive vision, which places the needs and aspirations of the people at the heart of government action. By preserving these key enterprises in public hands, the government commits to providing quality essential services, promoting local employment, and safeguarding the country’s natural resources for future generations.

Under the clear leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso is taking decisive steps toward a better life for its citizens.
